Pro Coaching Academy were delighted to hear that local female football player, Alexia Dawson, has retained her place at the York City F.C. Foundation Tier 1 Regional Talent Club for the forthcoming U16 season.  This is even more impressive when you realise Alexia is only an U15, so she is already excelling a year ahead of herself.

Coaches Chris and Suzy Collins have known Alexia for many years and are delighted that her talent and ability are being support by York City.

In conversation with Coach Chris, he said, ‘The first time we met Lexi, well her brother to be exact, he said ‘my sister’s brilliant!’ and he wasn’t wrong!  She started as substitute in her first game for York Railway Institute U11 Girls and with pretty much her first touch slammed the ball into the roof of the net.  She has never looked back and she went onto score over 300 goals in the following 3 seasons.  Lexi is a delight to coach and has natural ability.  That said, we know she also works very hard and is a great example of practice makes perfect.’

The final word was left for Coach Suzy, who said ‘I am so proud to have known Lexi and to have been part of her football journey, she is an amazing talent and I am eager to see where she ends up.  She is so determined and such a hard worker that I have no doubt she will achieve great things.’

Good luck Alexia from all at Pro Coaching Academy.
