On Monday 11 July Manor Futsal Club were awarded from North Yorkshire Sport, the honour of being Satellite Club of the Month for July 2016.

Laura Young, development manager from North Yorkshire Sport was on hand to present a temporary certificate to coaches Chris and Suzy Collins for all their hard work since September last year.

So far over 30 girls and boys have tried futsal for the first time, over 600 places being taken at the sessions and over 30 weeks of lessons been provided.

Coach Chris said when asked, ‘It has been hard work to try to get the club established but the rewards have been brilliant.  We were only expecting to trial the club for a term and have ended up completing the whole school year.  A huge thank you to all at Manor CE Academy for their support and we are looking forward to developing the club further.’

Coach Suzy added ‘It has been such fun since we started, the boys and girls of the club have been amazing, we can’t wait to come back next school year and carry on.’
