After an 8 week break, we were back with our 3rd season with the girls of Bootham Futsal Club. We welcomed 3 new trialists, namely Summer, Lucy and Toni. Thank you for coming, we hope you had a fun day and can’t wait to see you all again soon.

We started the session with some ‘bib stealing’, a great game for getting the girls used to moving, weaving and bobbing. We progressed this onto some passing and running with the ball. The whole session was based around getting the girls back familiar with the ball.

The older group worked on some possession play and the highlight was the increase in physicality from so many of the girls, we think the parents have been feeding them some extra meat over the summer!

It was great to be back and everyone worked their socks off, we had some shattered players by the end! Thank you for the amazing support from everyone and we look forward to another brilliant season.

Player of the week for the younger group was Ruby N – her touch and control has definitely improved over the summer and she showed some fantastic ideas when on the ball. Great start and keep it going, Ruby!

Player of the week for the older group was Holly – we are always nervous when players move across age groups, but today Holly was an absolute legend! She showed no fear and gave it everything. Well done, Holly, and a great start to a new season!
