rawcliffeAfter 4 very successful seasons at York Railway Institute, Chris and Suzy Collins decided to step down from coaching and running a team at grassroots.  Almost immediately they were contacted by several local clubs asking if they were available to coach.  Many phone calls later they agreed to coach but not run the Rawcliffe Girls U14 side for the forthcoming season.  David Craggs, Rawcliffe manager, was once a team-mate of Chris when they played football for Clifton Without many, many years ago!

Chris and Suzy run the coaching sessions on a Thursday night and David runs the team on a Saturday and deals with all the administration and selection for the team.

In conversation with David, he said, ‘It would be a great shame for grassroots football if Chris and Suzy had stopped coaching, they both have a vast amount of experience and they will be a great asset to our club.’

Chris said ‘David really twisted my arm but in the end it is something that Suzy and I both enjoy.  We realistically didn’t have time to run a team this season so the situation is perfect for all involved.  Suzy and I  both had a great time at York Railway Institute and wish all the girls the best in the future.’

Pro Coaching Academy would like to wish good luck to all involved at Rawcliffe Girls this season.
