Last training session before we have the fun Christmas session, and boy did the girls work hard!

After a warm up, run by one of our old players Katie S, the younger group spent time on court making sure the girls were happy with the rules of the game. In January we have the FA Futsal Youth Qualifiers, so we wanted them to be comfortable within a proper game!

Very pleased to say, not only did they look comfortable, they played some fantastic futsal – one touch play, flicks and tricks and some awesome finishing from lots of players. The coaches expected to be stopping the game every minute or so to point out different bits – well, let’s just say, we were pretty much redundant this morning. We had some serious stand out performance and the future looks extremely bright for these two age groups, well played everyone!

The older group started with a fun warm up, one Coach Chris really likes, as it gets the girls really thinking. Great to watch and smiles all round from the girls.

This group also worked on their game play with some 5 minute full court games. What has really impressed us so far this season, was the way the players who moved up have fitted in so well. Today was no exception, they worked their socks off and we saw some really good play from all involved – the said, not sure Alice is cut out to be a goalkeeper!!!

Thank you to everyone for yet another fabulous morning of futsal. We will see you all next week for the final fun of the year!

Player of the week for the younger group was Sophie – since the start of this season she has just got better and better. All the coaches are so impressed by her work rate on court and today she really worked extra hard on her recovery runs. Awesome day, well done Sophie.

Player of the week for the older group was Katie J – she has been playing up an age group this year and she has worked so hard on her futsal. We are so impressed by her attitude and never say die approach. Well done Katie, keep up this high standard!
