We welcomed our first players on to the Hall of Fame Appearance Board this week – Clare and Tegan.

The committee of Bootham Futsal Club wanted a way to show the girls how much they valued their commitment to the club. They came up with the idea of awarding a player who reached 50 appearances, be that training, matches or tournaments, with an individual named medal and certificate.

Head Coach Chris said, “I am constantly blown away by the commitment the girls show in turning up week after week, and the amazing hard work they put in. We had to do something to show how much we appreciate this. It is not a surprise that Clare and Tegan are the first to hit the magic 50, as both girls were there on day 1.”

Clare – U12 – What a wonderful young lady, never stops smiling, never stops running and comes from a talented family of football and futsal players. Clare hardly ever misses a session, a true supporter of the club!

Tegan – U16 – Arguably the most improved player throughout the whole club. A young lady who has dedicated herself to futsal, not just playing but watching also. She has shown remarkable improvement throughout the previous 2 seasons.
