On Saturday 29 April, York City FC Futsal entertained Tranmere Rovers FC Futsal in a Super League relegation battle.  Defeat for Tranmere almost certainly condemned them to relegation, whereas a win for York almost certainly guaranteed their participants in next seasons Super League.

In a very one-sided game, York ran out comfortable 5-0 winners with goals from Oliver Toseland, Jamie Bettson, Alex McDowell, Michael Bulmer and Fabinho Almeida.  They have not yet mathematically secured their place in Super League for next season but it would take a miracle for Tranmere to overtake them at this very late stage.
