It may be school half term, but Pro Coaching Academy coach Chris Collins isn’t having a break.

York Uni LogoTomorrow he will travel to Bolton with the University of York Ladies 2nd team to play in the last 64 of the BUCS Northern Conference Cup against Bolton University 1st team. Currently the 2nd team sit second in the BUCS Northern 4B league after 2 wins from 2 games.

When asked about the game Chris replied ‘Cup games are always a challenge, you never really know what is going to happen, but the team looks very strong, both in defence and attack. With 9 goals scored and only 3 conceded in the previous 2 games we are looking a very good team and I fancy us to beat anyone in our leagues at present!

RI LogoOn Saturday, York Railway Institute U13 Girls are at home to Easingwold in the City of York Girls Football League. Currently the girls sit top of their league with 4 wins from 4 games, 38 goals scored and only 1 conceded.

Coach Chris Collins said about the girls, ‘They are looking very strong and are scoring goals for fun at the moment. We have a doubt over captain Denva, who hurt her ankle in the last match but with Kim coming back from injury we should be OK to carry on this impressive start to the season.’
