It is strange sitting here writing this, knowing I have missed my first session since the formation of the club. That said, we couldn’t be in better hands today – Junior Roberti is a legend in futsal coaching, and I know the girls will have an amazing time.

The younger group, so I have been told, worked on problem solving and team work while working in small groups. There were some fantastic performances with lots of hard work and smiles all round.

After a quick turn around in the hall, the older group concentrated on similar ideas with more emphasis on tactics and how to achieve a successful outcome.

Huge thank you to Junior for his amazing support – what a coach but above all else, just a top bloke!

This week’s players of the week were picked by Katie, so here goes:

Player of the week for the younger group was Toni – she never stopped running from the moment the session started, and managed to cover nearly all the sports hall. Awesome performance, well done Toni!

Player of the week for the older group was Niamh – one of our longest serving members and a serious talent. She also worked really hard for the whole hour and just keeps getting better and better. Top result Niamh!
