This week featured our first ever annual presentations, so check back soon for a separate report on this. The session concentrated on game play again this week.

The younger group played 6 minute games to highlight what they had learnt over the previous weeks. We asked them try and show recovery, forward support runs and especially be brave in 1v1 situations, both attacking and defending! Needless to say the standard of futsal was very high and we saw some fantastic play, well done to everyone!

The second hour started with another game of ‘Invisible Futsal’ and the smiles on the faces said it all, brilliant!

The older group did the same as the younger group, 6 minute games but we asked them to work on slightly different things – play only 2 touch and only score in the D. Again, the standard of futsal on show was brilliant, some really good phases of play, the coaches loved watching it!

Next week is the last week before the summer break and it is the end of season madness – moms and dads teams, everyone playing together – should be a crazy day! Don’t miss out, see you next week!

Player of the week for the younger group was Emily-Sue – she never lets us down, what a brilliant young lady. She always, without fail, gives 100% in everything we do. Simply put top, top player!

Player of the week for the older group was Ellie S – she is maturing into a very competent and clever futsal player. Her work rate this week, especially holding up the ball was outstanding. Well done Ellie!
