As well as being head coach of Bootham Futsal Club, Chris Collins is also an in demand football coach. Last week he announced he was leaving his current role as boys U13 coach at York City Football Club and moving across the corridor, so to speak, to coach the girls at U14 level at the York City Foundation, Tier 1, Regional Talent Club, .

In conversation he said, ‘I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the last 3 seasons working at York City, and I have had the pleasure of working with some fantastic young male talent. I would like to thank Dan Wilson and Mark Spencer for giving me the opportunity and also their support in my coaching development. The players, parents and coaches at York City have been brilliant and it wasn’t an easy decision to make.’

When asked about the new role, he had this to say, ‘When talking to Lawrie, Technical Director of the RTC, I was drawn in by his passion and desire to deliver at the RTC, simply put I was hooked. It will be a real test of my coaching ability, working with some of the best female talent in this area, and one I honestly can’t wait to get started on!’

Everyone at Pro Coaching Academy wishes Chris the very best of luck going forward in his new role.
