Two members of Bootham Futsal Club have taken their futsal bug and formed their own brand new club.

Tegan and Mia, who play for the U16s, approached Pro Coaching Academy to borrow some futsal balls to put on a new lunch time sport’s club at their secondary school, Vale Of York.

Head Coach Chris was so impressed by their commitment and enthusiasm, that he took it upon himself to contact North Yorkshire Sport to see if they would help fund the new club.  So, this week Coach Chris was able to deliver balls and  portable futsal goals to the very excited Tegan and Mia!

The club runs every Wednesday lunchtime and is open to all girls in years 7 and 8.

Coach Chris, with further support from North Yorkshire Sport, has also pledged to pay for the girls to study their FA Futsal Level 1 Coaching Course next year.

In conversation Coach Chris said, ‘I was blown away by the girls’ dedication and determination to set up a new futsal club, I just had to help.  North Yorkshire Sport were brilliant with their support and the forthcoming funds.  I can’t wait to go down to the school and see the girls in action!’

Everyone at Pro Coaching Academy wishes Tegan and Mia all the very best with their new project.
