To finish off the last futsal session of the half term, we brought back the very popular mini tournament.  The players were split into 4 teams and played each other in a round robin tournament to see who was the best.  Each game was 12mins long, played straight through with no stopping.  The teams were:

Chris’s Champions – Coach Chris, Ellen, Leon, Jacob, Aiden

Suzy’s Superstars – Coach Suzy, Abbi, Reece, Sam

Simon’s Scorchers – Phoebe, Matilde, Matthew

Kim’s Krusaders – Kim, Ruby, Harry, Isaac, Kacper

Leon, Harry, Ruby and Jacob played for whichever team was short of players!

The games were certainly fast and ferocious, with everyone wanting to finish top of the table!

Results were:

Simon’s Scorchers 1 – 5 Kim’s Krusaders – With a wonder strike from Kim.

Chris’s Champions 7 – 1 Suzy’s Superstars – Leon and Jacob looking good.

Simon’s Scorchers 3 – 3 Chris’s Champions – Last gasp equaliser from Leon.

Kim’s Krusaders 2 – 0 Suzy’s Superstars – Close game until the last 2 minutes.

Chris’s Champions 3 – 3 Kim’s Krusaders – The Champions left it very late again.

Suzy’s Superstars 10 – 3 Simon’s Scorchers – Dominant from the Superstars.

So, Kim’s Crusaders ran away with a comfortable win, much to everyone’s surprise!  Every team played some fantastic futsal, the coaches were seriously impressed!
