Here at Pro Coaching Academy we like to champion local talent, and recently another young lady has caught our attention.

For this season Erin Edgar has been chosen to represent the  York City Foundation – Girls U14s City Elite Squad.  The Elite Squad are the ones just below the Regional Talent Club, so this is a fantastic achievement.

Pro Coaching Academy coach Chris Collins worked with Erin whilst he coached at York Railway Institute.  In conversation he said, ‘She is not only an outstanding goalkeeper but also a very good outfield player.’

He went on to say, ‘She played in goal when we got to the national finals in Birmingham at futsal, and at this time she was playing a year ahead.  She made some outstanding saves during that tournament.’

He finished by saying, ‘She has obvious talent and I am so glad she has continued her progress, I wouldn’t be surprised if she went all the way!’
